First, there’s the Web Communicator, which lets users connect with each other via phone without the necessity of needing to remember one’s phone number. This is tied in with Ccube’s account services, and lets you find contacts using keywords. The Call Me Widget is self-explanatory. It works like most other call me widgets, which you can place on your website or blog, and let others click on it in order to give you a call, for free. There’s also a feature called My Keypad, which is an option for simply dialing a number, and a Virtual Calling Card, which can be sent to others as a way of encouraging them to give you a call. These virtual calling cards offer free nationwide calling. |

Dashwire is a new mobile network. It synchronizes with pretty much everything you do on your hand set, saving messages, images, videos, ringtones, checking your ringtones, and more. This gives you an easily accessible way in which to handle activity on your mobile without actually having to use it.While other services enable you to send text messages from the web to another user’s cell phone, messages sent from Dashwire will appear to others as having been sent from your cell phone. You can even configure certain aspects of your cell phone, such as assigned ringtones to friends, through Dashwire. Dashwire currently supports Windows Mobile 5 and 6. Whrrl
(Posted in: Mobile Services)|
Whrrl is a new mobile network that lets you aggregate information as you visit different places in life. It’s generally like a location review service that’s wrapped up in a map mashup and a social network. If you’re on the north side of town and you’d like to find a restaurant or a local museum, you can access whrrl on your mobile and do a search based on your location. From there you can filter search results based on ratings, users, activity type, price, hours of operation, distance and neighborhood. If you go to a location and would like to review it, you can “check in” and write your review (this is in a wiki format), give it a rating, and this is all incorporated into the Whrrl database for other users’ benefit. Add some images if you’d like. People like to look at pictures. Locations can also be bookmarked, so you can check them out the next time you’re on that side of town. If you’d really like to be kept up to date with what’s going on around you, check out your newsfeed. This consists of activity going on with your friends. |

senior cell phones
(Posted in: Mobile Services)
Jitterburg (a creation of GreatCall) is a website that offers very important and useful products especially for older people. In few words, GreatCalls has simplified the mobile technology creating a new line of senior cell phones with soft ear cushion, powerful speaker, big buttons and brighter text that make them extremely easy to use. But there is more: this cell phones for senior citizens are in fact also helpful, thanks to the possibility to associate with them, at a very little price (from $10/month), a 24-hour help desk (directly operated by Jitterbug operators) that can make calls for you (just tell him/her the name of the people you want to call), provide directory assistance or can add names to your phone list. An example of this phone is shown in the picture.Jitterbug offers three different plans: The Simply Share (you can share the monthly service and add on minutes with your friends or family for just $15/month for each additional user. Calls between Jitterbug users that share your account are totally free) or the monthly plans. This last option is divided into SOS (the basic plan, just $0,35/minute), Simple 30, 60, 150, 300 (where the number represents the minutes/month included in the plan) and PLUS that permits 800 minutes of calling and totally free calls to operators and voicemail. Rates are extremely interesting: if compared with other prepaid services, you can save up to $480 in two years. The phone itself cost just $147...and can be a really great gifts for senior citizens. |

PlayerBlock
(Posted in: Mobile Services)|
PlayerBlock is an SMS-based service that lets you check up on your date to see if he’s a player. This service appears to revolve around phone numbers, so in order to find out about your date, you type in their phone number to see if you can dig up any dirt. All the information found through PlayerBlock is user-generated, so in order to find any information on a date, someone else must have dated them first, and written a report on them. Likewise, you’re encouraged to dish the dirt on your dates. As this is primarily a text-messaging service, it makes it that much easier to get reports and give reports while you’re on the actual date. You can also enter a number to be “watched,” meaning you’ll receive an update on that person once a new entry has been added. |

GoLive!Mobile
(Posted in: Mobile Services)
This month is a great date for the technology's world because, exactly 20 years ago, the construction of the first GSM network was started. I still remember the first "mobile" GSM terminal...enormous (like a little suitcase), with a little text and monochrome display. And I remember that only few VIP people had that terminal. And after 20 years, that mobile phone is just a nice memory: today everyone can buy a phone that is incredibly similar to a little PC. We now can take pictures, record videos, send emails, browse the net, write a document and so on. And this revolution has created a new market, a mobile market, that is "assailed" by grands and companies. Consider that today, one of three big brands have still tested this new field: most of us have probably received some special offers as sms (personally i receive last minute offers for travels or invites for chat rooms). This market is still young but thanks to the new technologies that will permit advertisers to target their sms marketing on a determined group of person, it will vertiginous grow in the next time. Obviously, if you want to enter this market, you must pay the maximum attention in finding the right partner:: sending Sms to the wrong people can be really deleterious. GoLive!Mobile, the leader in mobile billing and content management solutions has created a great portfolio of mobile products that perfectly fit with the new terminals and the interaction's possibility offered to phone's owner. GoLive!Mobile is able to offers to its customers applications that permits contests, property listings, mobile coupons, workgroup chat, data relay, reminders, polling, trivia, premium sms....all using the SMS. But this is only a little part of what this mobilizing marketing company can offer you...i suggest you to visit its website to know more about its products. |

ToneMine
(Posted in: Mobile Services)|
ToneMine is a new just launched ringtone mixer. This application is more extensive than most services out there, with a little bit of social networking mixed in as well. The mixing composer on the site lets you work from a basic music package, which covers the basic genres from hip hop to salsa, jazz and rock. From there, you can add in music and effects from ToneMine’s library, the shared community sounds, and your own library. What’s useful about this editor is that you can “Save As” meaning you can create a ringtone, save it, tweak it and save it again without needing to start from scratch. You can enjoy a good amount of ToneMine without creating a profile, but once your profile is created all of your favorite ringtones will be displayed on your profile, but not the ones you’ve made for yourself. Check out the community ringtones to see what’s new and what’s popular. Save good ringtones to your Favorites and add tags. |

Push-It Alert
(Posted in: Mobile Services)|
Push-It Alert is a new service that looks to solve a big problem: the dynamical formatting Web content for mobile phone screens. Rather than re-write Web pages in WAP or XML, Push-It uses what it calls “click through” and “call through” capabilities. This is made possible in part because Push-It Alert is, as the title would suggest, an alert service. They offer an API that allows content producers to setup alerts for things like emails, IMs, and RSS feeds. For example, MySpace could use the service to setup a Push-It Alert for new messages, which would then be pushed to user’s phones (similar to Blackberry email) in real-time in a universal format. |

Loudtalks
(Posted in: Mobile Services)|
Loudtalks is a voice tool that works from any phone and operates like a walkie-talkie. The idea behind this service is to bring the ease of instant messaging and text messaging to a voice-enabled platform that lets you share, emotion and all, what you really want to say. The tool is totally free and looks much like an instant messaging client, or Skype. You can select a friend you’d like to say something to, and you essentially leave a message. They respond when they’re ready, so there’s not the formality of a phone call, where all parties need to be present in order to participate, but it does still let you “talk” to each other. There’s also an option for voice blasts to multiple friends. |

Utterz
(Posted in: Mobile Services)|
Utterz is a new mobile blogging community launched by RPM Communications. With Utterz, you can blog with your cell phone while you’re away from a computer. Within the Utterz network, your profile resembles a Twitter micro-blogging stream and shows all of your entries. These can be sorted by date, rating, and popularity. An utter blog entry can include audio, video, images and text. These can be created online or with your mobile phone. Utterz provides a phone number for you to call in and “speak” your blog entry, which appears as an audio file on your Utterz stream. This number can also be used for listening to Utterz, and responding to another user’s Utterz can be done via mobile phone as well. The Utterz community also has channels where you can participate with other users on a given topic. |

Blynk - free mobile calls and SMS
(Posted in: Mobile Services)
Today, reading my usual RSS feeds, I've found a very interesting news about a new virtual mobile operator in UK: Blynk. This is not a traditional mobile operator...but it is a FREE one. Yes free: Blynk offers, each month, up to 217 free SMS and 43 minutes of free calling to all its customers. Who pays for these services? ADS. In fact, if you are interested and want a Blynk SIM, you must accept to receive up to 6 ADS MMS /day. Actually, a great number of companies have agreed to sponsor this service...and Blynk has announced the intention of extend its services to other countries. Not bat as service, but there is an age limitation: you can subscribe with Blynk ONLY if you are between 16 and 24 years old.Behind Blynk there are two very important names: Antti Öhrling and Pekka Ala-Pietilä (ex president of Nokia)...so we all hope that this service can really work! A similar idea was implemented some times ago by Virgin Mobile in USA: actually about 330k (of 4,8 million) users agree to receive ADS on own mobile phone in exchange of free call minutes...
