Talentainer

Wandering for the Net, I've discovered a very interesting site, named Talentainer. This site, in few words, is a sort of video showcase for who want to "sell" their abilities or, better, for live entertainers. Practically, if you are able as disk jokey, party or event entertainer, magician (and so on) and want to gain something from your ability, you can record a video (where obviously you show what are you able to do), upload on Talentainer...and wait that someone invite you to join a private event or similar! Obviously, Talentainer is the perfect solution also for who is searching for a performer: thanks to it, in fact, you just need to select the category you are interested in (more than 30 categories are available in this moment, like singers, mind readers, stunt performer, trapeze artists, dancer, cabaret and so on...there are performer for every tastes!), watch the available videos and select the performer you most like (in this way you can "try" a person before invite to your party!). An example? Take a look at this video:

In just two minutes you can evaluate Matthew(the performer) and decide if he is the person you need for your event. Obviously the site permits, with just few clicks, to contact him in order to book him.
Last but not least, Talentainer has also a "gigs" section: here potential clients offer gigs. If you are searching for a work, take a look there: if you find something that matches with your capabilities, try to apply...you can gain an hire!

Jiibe

jiibe-l.png

Jiibe is a new job-match service that is based on user-generated content. That means reviews and feedback are aggregated and incorporated into a single profile for a particular company. When you go to Jiibe’s website, you’ll be invited to take a personality quiz. This is for getting to know your company, but it gets to know you as well. There are two sliders on the quiz, which lets you indicate the actual situation for each quiz question, as well as your ideal. Once you’ve completed the quiz, you can create a profile. Indicate the name of the company at which you work, and this data is added into the system for the creation of a company profile. If you’re looking for a job, Jiibe will show you other companies that are a good match for you, based on these company profiles as well as your ideals. Filter results by the name of the company, industry, size, and the compatibility scale. If you read a company profile, you’ll see the description that Jiibe has laid out based on the quizzes of people that work there. For each company profile, employees (that are Jiibe users) are listed, and there’s also a bulletin board where Jiibe users can ask and answer questions regarding the company. Jiibe’s recommendation system will show you similar companies in relation to the one you’re currently viewing. Yo can check out user profiles as well, which will show a tag cloud of their ideals, their company, their friends, and the buzz going on around their company.

Trovix

trovix-l.png

Trovix is a new job search service that aims to provide a personalized engine that acts more like a recruiter or head hunter, depending on your needs individually or as an employer. Using a human-like search technology, Trovix wants to offer the best job opportunities to each user. You won’t go to Trovix and find a slew of job listings from thousands of companies. But what Trovix will do is analyze your resume, considering your past experience and goals in order to find the jobs best suited for them. This takes some of the heavy lifting away from you, and keeps you from having to perform keyword searches, or indicate a particular industry and city, and only get broad results that may be numerous but also redundant and irrelevant. Trovix’s recruiting system is geared towards companies as well, letting employers stay on top of potential employees. Everyone’s personal information is kept private, in case you’re looking for a job but don’t want your boss to know. This is also good for those that are willing to take a better opportunity if one comes along, but aren’t necessarily in an active state of looking for a new job.

beyond.com

beyond-l.png

Beyond.com is a new job portal website that aims to service every aspect of job hunting and hiring for job seekers and employers. With editorial content such as articles on corporate America, finding a new job, and choosing the right career, Beyond.com is similar to Monster.com or CareerBuilder in that it wants to be more than a job search engine, and act as a central resource as well. There are stats on various industries in America, and other resources, such as access to salary reports, etc. Job seekers and employers can create accounts and start looking for each other. Beyond will keep track of your career portfolio as you use its site to look for a job. The search tool is rather basic, with no filtering options for narrowing down an existing search results list.
