Another time Google has updated the PageRank of many site...included mine. And this time, I've received an increase...and now I've another time my "old" value "3". I really don't understand what is behind PageRank....I've not changed posts...I've always the same number of visitors (about 250-300/day) but I've changed PageRank practically at every update! Do you have seen some changes in yours?

Ads Income
(Posted in: INDEX)|
In the last year I've accepted sponsored reviews and paid links...snd this is clearly explained into the blog's disclaimer page and in the "advertise here" page. And, thanks to these form of advertising, in the last year I've gained a little money...not so much like John Chow and its blog...but sufficient to buy something for me. And...as other blogs in the past, I'm finished in the Google's net...and I've lost my old PageRank. But PageRank is not directly related to the traffic and Google search engine's result...in fact I'm constantly increasing daily visitors (now around 300 visitors/day) and visit from Google (about 200 visitors/day). And how about my income? Income from links, ads and similar are drastically reduced: in the fist 5 days of March I've gained just $15 from AdSense and $1 from all the rest! So, is the game over for me? Probably yes. People aren't interested in traffic or in feed readers....but only in PageRank! And, frankly, I don't know why. It was a nice game. Was.

Google Pagerank Changes AGAIN
(Posted in: INDEX)|
It's absolutely impossible understand what Google is doing with Pagerank. Yesterday Night, another update was made....and another time some strange "surprise". The first was for me. My site, with an year of life, was de-classed from 4 to 3 in the first update. From 3 to 2 (some datacenters was reporting 2, others 3) in the second update. BUT 2 to 3 (with some data centers that report 4!!!) in this third update. But my second blog was de-classed from 3 to 0!!!! And you? do you have seen some strange updates to your pagerank? Here a comparison table from Andy Beard Blog: Real or Fake PageRank Update In Progress (round 3)
If you want to monitor your actual pagerank from all the data centers, you can use the tool provided by Seochat.com available here.

Google Pagerank changes
(Posted in: INDEX)|
Probably, you have read lots of posts in this period related to pagerank changes that Google has made. Google has updated, this month, two time the pagerank...and lots of sites have seen their value drop off (normal everyone has lost 2 points). And also my blog has received the same treatment. I don't know if Google has penalized sites that sell links, have ads or something like this...I just know (thanks to this article of DailyBlogTips) that some very important sites have been penalized: Engadget (from 7 to 5) AutoBlog (from 6 to 4) Problogger (from 6 to 4) Copyblogger (from 6 to 4) Search Engine Journal (from 7 to 4) Quick Online Tips (from 6 to 3) Search Engine Roundtable (from 7 to 4) Blog Herald (from 6 to 4) Weblog Tools Collection (from 6 to 4) JohnTP (from 6 to 4) Coolest Gadgets (from 5 to 3) CyberNet News (from 6 to 4) Washington Post (from 7 to 5) Washington Times (from 6 to 4) Charlotte Observer (from 6 to 4) Forbes.com (from 7 to 5) SFGate.com (from 7 to 5) Sun Times (from 7 to 5) New Scientist (from 7 to 5) Seattle Times (from 6 to 4) Hongkiat (from 5 to 3) Sabahan (from 5 to 3) And surely other sites will be added! |

Spactor
(Posted in: INDEX)|
Spactor is a media search engine that scans television, radio, Internet TV and podcasts to display results showing how often and when a particular term was used in a program. Based in Germany, Spactor is built on MediaClipping’s technology that is used by businesses for PR and other purposes, giving stats on the use of certain terminology and names are used in media. Now the search functionality of MediaClipping is being offered as an engine for you to use. Type in your query and you’ll see video and audio results where your term has been used. Results can be emailed to a friend, and you can go to the original source link or play the media directly. It would be convenient if these results could also be bookmarked directly |

X1950XT incompatible with ITEK products
(Posted in: INDEX)|
Do you remember the article about my new PC here? Well...after a week without problem, I've finally found some time to test some heavy game. And I've installed Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars Kane Edition. After 10 minutes in game....PC shuts off!!!! tremendous!!! Why this? first of all, I've checked temperature. Video 56°. good. CPU 24°. very good. Mother board (the Asus one) 48°!!!!!! damn! problem related to the Itek case...no sufficient air flow. But i've solved the problem in a very easy way: three low noise fan (80mm) and the temp is now around 34°.
But same problem in the game...no worst...cannot start game. Video card freezes. Obviously the problem must be in the power. Thanks to lot of forum found on Internet, I've discovered that the X1950XT wants 20A on the 12V power line...and that my ITEK power supply has just 11A. But if you read specification, you can use it with the X1950XT. I've immediately brought a NEW and most serious power supply obviously, and now all is ok. Then...if you need a new case or a new power supply, please, avoid ITEK...is probably the worst company you can find! |

Welcome to the New Blog Skin!
(Posted in: INDEX)|
Welcome to the new Web 2.0 Directory skin!
Simpler that before, the new skin is also more fast than the old one. I've maintained the three columns structure, but now the post area is aligned on the left part of the screen with the two service column on the right. I've also adopted the fixed width of the blog to best fit with the different screen resolution available (minimum dimension suggested is the 1024x768). I want also thanks all of my readers for the great results the blog have reached: more than 100 visitors/day with up to 4,500 page view/month and 471 feeder readers... thanks to all! |
